With the semester well underway, it is easy to get lost in the stress of grades, meetings, and other life activities. As I sit in the library, reflecting on last semester, the question “What advice would you give yourself at the beginning of last semester?” came up in conversation. This required some deep thought from some, and immediate reactions from other. Theresa, and RA in Housing 3, would tell herself “You will get into Grad School.” Theresa recently got accepted into Stockton’s PT program (and she’s going to do amazing). Julie and Savannah, both RAs in Housing 2 G-K, would share similar positive advice. Julie would tell herself, “Everything is going to be ok,” and Savannah would say “If its meant to be it'll be.” When Kiersten (Housing 2 G-K) told us she would say “Life is about more than just the grade,” it prompted Kelsey (Housing 2 G-K) to say “Find time to take care of yourself.” Everyone seemed to agree with this, and said they would definitely take more time for themselves. Just when the conversation was about to end Mike (Housing 2 G-K) jumped in with my favorite piece of advice, “Watch out for the raccoons.” As he recounted a terrifying experience while taking out the trash everyone was finally on the same page, definitely watch out for the raccoons.
